Incredibly beautiful hotel, elegant rooms and pretty decent location. The personnel at the front desk gave some useful tips and was willing to help. The rooms was pretty clean and good sized. Breakfast offered plenty of pretty good meals.
The bed was hard, unfortunately.

Would come here again! Large room, great setting. One of the best buffet breakfasts😀
-
Incredible breakfast, HELPFUL staff. Many thanks to chef! Large bed, balcony was an added bonus. We ate at Pizza Hut, which is only 300 m away, it suited our needs. Swimming pool was lovely too. All in all very good value for money.
-
Finally a large breakfast and excellent quality - is not often the case in America.
The neighborhood was not pleasant - tramps
-
The staff is helpful and full of information to help you.
-
My room, quite place, nice experience, good service and breakfast. Useful location to see Hollywood and downtown
The elevator.... Too slow
-
accessible to all attractions los angeles offered.
-
The room, which faced the parking lot, was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The free breakfast and LA Times were handy, as was the free wifi.
The parking fee of $18 plus tax a night was a bit steep, but parking was secure. This is not very close to the main attractions of Hollywood, but very close to Children's Hospital.
-
Very reasonable priced.
Although the room was fine, the overall hotel (hallways and elevators) are run down. The neighborhood is also pretty iffy.
-
It is very confortable, very nice and big rooms. The localization, althoug the surroundings is not the best, it is very easy to get bus or subway to anywhere in LA.

This was a very pleasant find. Very comfortable, quaint, and quiet. I was in la with with a friend and our teenage daughters for a concert and wanted somewhere inexpensive to stay for the night so we didn't have to drive an 1 1/2 home late at night. I couldn't have been happier with the Hollywood Hotel. I will stay here again in the future. It was very clean and only about a 5 minute drive to the Staple Center. And the price was just right. Fyi, I believe when I booked it, it didn't say anything about paying for parking. There was an $18 charge for the parking but it is a gated lot with a security guard, which was worth the charge.

Exactly what one needs for a quick evening of business and pleasure. Also a quick and convenient getaway to LAX using public transportation the next morning. Under 90min hotel to terminal. Relatively clean and a room facing the interior was nice and quiet. Sorry I was too early in the week to enjoy the hotel's live entertainment.

Spacious comfortable clean room & bed with nice outlook.TV Pay only but free Wi-fi works well.Staff helpful & when eventually found outdoor pool, nicely secluded with loungers & towels provided-a pleasant place to sit.Very close to Metro & buses which are very cheap & easy to use.(bus 50c for seniors! -$1.50 regular any distance tho increases during rush hour or all day metro & metro bus ticket $5).Close to pharmacy selling food though not to any more upmarket shops.
Suggest at breakfast forget the reconstituted dried egg & concentrate on improving the cold meats, supply of yogurt, croissant etc which seemed to be limited to every 20 mins or so.We stayed 8 days & greater variety would have been nice. Nice to have breakfast facility & clearly the waffles are very popular.Re: room the shower handle was so stiff I found impossible to use. My husband had to set it each day.The light switches seemed very eccentric to Brits but got used to them. Lovely to have microwave & coffee maker but did feel supply of one sachet only of reg coffee & one of decaf was bit mean daily for two people.

Charged for their parking.

Tyle breakfest was good , few types of egs, toast, made exactelly by the the personnel at place.
The hotel is located in Hollywood near the Hollywood bld, but honestly it is few blocks away, other people wrote that they used metro bus, to get to the walk of fame, Chinese theater but ok, you need to use at least 3 busses, the problem comes when you need to transfer through a neighborhood where drug dillers, strange poor people are resident, the hotel is not located in a nice area, I would not dare to go there with my kids. Second thing is that the hotel itself is located in a area, where on other side of the street is a liquer store, where narcomans, and other bad people gather at night. We stayed two nights in two different rooms, because one of the rooms was located near the elevator, the doors have 1cm holes underneath and people are coming and going all night, can not get any sleep, the room had windows to the back, then we changed and we got windows upfront, where police cars are driving on signal half night and you feel like sleeping on the street, there were two interventions of police just in front of the hotel and I heard gun shots in middle of the night. Hotel is terrible old and you will not get sleep it is far away, so if you book one even 15 miles away on the airport you get the same result. We are traveling 27 days thru usa ny, dc, lv, la and this one w the worst. Some of the hotel personnel looked like they are on drugs,
